Roberto Cavalli, was born in Florence in 1940. One of the most famous Italian designers, he is also the founder of the homonymous Florentine fashion house. Cavalli studied at the art institute du Firenze, choosing textile painting applications as specialization.

In the early seventies he patented a leather printing process and began to create patchwork of materials and colors. Hermès and Pierre Cardin are among the first to take an interest in his work, and in 1970 he presented his first name at the Salon du Prêt-à-Porter in Paris. Bring on the catwalks of the Sala Bianca of Palazzo Pitti, and then those of Milan Collezioni, her collections: printed denim jeans, made of leather inlays, brocades and animal prints. In 1972 he opened his first boutique in Saint-Tropez.

In 2002 he inaugurated the first boutique-café in Florence. In Milan he opens the Just Cavalli Café of Torre Branca.
