C.P. COMPANY KIDS

"Tinto in capo" is the name of a process introduced by Massimo Osti and his collaborators of C.P. Company, at the beginning of the 70s. According to this technique, a garment, usually made of unpainted white or raw fabric, is dyed in the final phase of the manufacturing process, after the complete finish. This process therefore differs from the conventional method, which involves the production of garments with fabrics already subjected to dyeing. Although garment dyeing is an ancient technique, Massimo Osti and his collaborators were the first to use it on garments made with different fibers or fabrics. This process, which appears almost alchemic to those who witnessed it for the first time, produces a depth and chromatic intensity impossible to obtain with pre-dyed fabrics. To this is added an enhancement of the material characteristics of the fabric. A person who chooses, touches and feels for the first time a C.P. Company dyed in garment perceives a mysterious sensation, as if it were an "improved version".
